By Nick Wagoner Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby is going through his third wave of conditioning in just six days.
The first three days of the three-day program were dedicated to conditioning, and Crosby and linemates Patric Hornqvist and Brandon Sutter are working with strength and conditioning coach Brad Richards.
On Wednesday, Crosby went through his second phase of the program, with exercises on his hands and feet.
On Thursday, the trio worked with their skating and conditioning coaches.
On Friday, they went back to their strength and recovery area and worked on their core strength.
Then, Crosby worked on his feet and in his own right.
The rest of the day was devoted to strength and fitness.
Crosby and Hornqvists will return to the ice for a third and final time on Saturday when the Penguins host the Boston Bruins in a game that’s set to be the final game before the All-Star break.
