The e-commerce giant on Wednesday said it’s offering a chance for shoppers to save on a new online PC for $500, a deal that has the potential to save millions of dollars.
Amazon’s offering is in addition to its $600 deal on a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 laptop.
The $600 offer is a little cheaper than what Dell offered for a second-generation Inspiron 11 7000 laptop back in October, when the laptop retailed for $1,199.
Dell offered the laptop with a touchpad, but the new laptop comes with a larger screen and processor, too.
Dell’s laptop with touchpad also came with a $300 upgrade.
Dell is offering a $500 discount on the laptop if you have a Prime membership.
The new PC is a $1.2 million machine that’s built for gaming and uses Intel’s Xeon E5-2670M processor and AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics.
It has a quad-core, 8-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and an Intel HD Graphics 4600 graphics chip.
The machine has a 5.5-inch, 1280×800 display.
The price includes a $350 Amazon gift card and a $200 Amazon Prime gift card.
The offer ends on Sept. 10.
The Dell Inspirons are not compatible with Amazon Prime or its $499 Prime Video subscription service, which includes a two-year membership and the ability to watch Prime Video.
If you’re not a Prime member, the Dell Inspire 13 7000 has a $2,799 price tag and can be had for $2.99 more on Amazon.com or at Walmart.com.
Amazon says that’s a little bit more expensive than the $1 a week the Inspiron offers for the same model.
